Visit from Katie

My cousin from maryland who now lives in manhatten came up to visit my grandma. they then decided to come visit us. Owen loves meeting new people, he was good with Katie. We also learned to skype with my other cousin patricia in maryland.

daddy's bday

On chris's bday owen decided that he wanted to push his walker without being in the seat. What a big boy!

Real Easter

On actual Easter we had brunch with chris's mom and then went to chris's dad's in the afternoon. Owen had a cute easter outfit and had fun getting easter presents and easter baskets from the easter bunny. He got chuggington dvds, sippy cups, clothes, books, teetching biscits, and a bucket with numbers. It was also grandpa rick's 50th bday.

Easter

My family celebrated Easter the weekend before so my aunt and sister could come down. This is my dad's family. We had a good visit. Owen loves the attention. There are 4 generations: my grandma, dad, me, and Owen.

Sick

On Monday the 14th Owen was supposed to get his second round of the flu vaccine and his hep b shot. Well in the morning before his appointment he woke up burning hot so I gave him tylenol. At the doctors he had a 101 fever and his cough was horrible. We went to the hospital to get a chest xray which showed he had pneumonia. They gave Owen an antibiotic. NICE right well it gets even better. All week his fevers were 103, he was crying and clingy and got a rash so on Thursday the 17th I went back to the doctor bc he wasnt improving. They agreed he wasnt better and they tested him for the flu and rsv. Monday came and we went back for a check and the results had just come back. Owen was flu b positive. He was well enough to get his hep b shot. He also gave me the flu too. Love it when your kid gets sick :( Hes still got a cough too.

Mickey Ears

Chris's mom, Nana to Owen, went to Disney in florida and got Owen mickey ears. He actually keeps them on! His cousin's daughter also got a pair of minnie ears. They had fun sitting on GG's lap, which is chris's grandma. Skyler was born in Feb 2009.

Visit from Aunt Christine

My aunt from California came out to visit us it was great to introduce Owen and see her. My grandma came with her and it was good to see her too. She had surgery to remove a mole from her nose, hence the bruise. Owen was pretty good.

New Ability

Since Owen is starting to be mobile I bought an octagon gate so he can play safetly but now he has found out a new way to make me worry. He pulls up to standing and then only falls in order to get down.

Crawling

Owen crawled a few inches today!!!!!! His growing up soo fast. Chris sent me this video at work to show me.

Owen six month visit

Owen had a pretty good appointment he measured 30 inches tall and 21 lbs and 2.5 oz. He got some more shots and did pretty good. He then got his first valentines day cards and presents. Overall it was a good day.

Baptism

Today our little man got baptisized!! I cant believe hes over 6 months old already. He did a great job and didnt cry at all during church. I made his cake and attempted to decorate it. We then had a small party afterwards to celebrate at our apartment. The same reverend married chris and I too.

First Tooth

Owen is getting his first tooth on the lower right and left jaw. Hes so cute. Here is a pic its hard to see but they are there pushing through

bath

Owen likes taking a bath so I decided to take some pics during and after.

Doc visit

Owen has had a cold since the end of Dec and this week he started wheezing. I took him to the doctors today and they confirmed that he was wheezing. We have to give him nebulizer treatments every 4-6 hrs for the next couple of days and then as needed until his next appt next week. Poor little man :( He doesn't act sick he still smiles and wants to jump on you lol. they always weigh him and today he was just over 20 lbs.

Tooth

We can see a tooth!!! Our little man has a tooth coming in on the bottom right front. I can't believe how fast he is growing up!!

Food

Today Owen had his first real food. We were eating dinner at Chris's dads house and gave Owen some mashed potatoes, orange squash, and cinnamon applesauce. He loved it and cried when there wasnt anymore. So I went to the store to get some real baby food for him.

Happy New Year!

We rang in 2011 in a fantastic way...we slept lol. Owen got to meet my cousin and her family this weekend. My cousin has two children Lucas and Maria. Lucas is almost 3 and Maria is about 9 months old. Owen and Maria are about the same size but Maria is much more mobile. We all had fun visiting. My aunt and other cousin along with my mom and my sister and her husband all met at my Grandmas house. At one point we joined in on "ball in the hall" and then we put up a gate to keep the kids in the living room and Maria and Owen were trying to escape. My cousin also entertained us with her bubble blowing skills. It was a lot of fun and we are looking forward to our next visit.
